This is the home page of award-winning British beerwriter and journalist Adrian Tierney-Jones, full of tasting notes, articles, photos and thoughts on beer, the best long drink in the world. If you’ve marvelled at the complexity to be found in a glass of Adnams Broadside of Fuller’s ESB, tingled with pleasure at the aroma of an Oakham JHB, or wept with joy at the perfection that is Timothy Taylor’s Landlord, then this is for you. If you’ve been bowled over by the pungent, heady hoppy aromas of Goose Island IPA or wanted more than is decently possible of Sierra Nevada’s Bigfoot, or scratched your head with bewilderment at the extreme beers emerging from the USA, then this is for you. If you’ve been taken by the soft, floral aromas and palate tingling glee of a great German Pils or Helles, or danced with delight at the spicy, herby zip and zest of a Northern France ambrée, then this is for you. If the mention of Belgian beers sends you off into a paroxysm of delight at the thought of all those lambics, Abbey ales and saisons then this is for you. This website is for everyone who loves the life-enhancing qualities of great beer and its history, tradition, innovation and most importantly of all the people who make it.
Cheers
Adrian Tierney-Jones

!!!After a hiatus of a few months beeralewhatever has awoken from its self-inflicted slumber — now there are new tasting notes being added, while the life-affirming Royal Oak in Borough, South London, is reviewed. There’s also a blog — Maltworms — to have a look at. Features recently added include Sharp’s, BrewDog and Cantillon — and the latest addition is the account of a visit to Hook Norton.
